The statutory gross minimum hourly wage will increase from €14.06 to €14.40 per hour from 1 July 2025. The reference monthly wage will be €2,245.80 as of 1 July 2025. The Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment sets the level of the statutory minimum wage every year on 1 January and 1 July.
For employees aged 15 years and above, the following amounts apply:
- 20 years (80.0%): €11.52
- 19 years (60.0%): €8.64
- 18 years (50.0%): €7.20
- 17 years (39.5%): €5.69
- 16 years (34.5%): €4.97
- 15 years (30.0%): €4.32
For employees working on the basis of an employment contract entered into in connection with a vocational training route (bbl), alternative graduated rates apply, which are laid down in the Minimum Youth Wage Decree. The above amounts apply to trainees aged 15 to 17 and 21. But for apprentices in bbl aged 18 to 20, the following statutory minimum youth wages apply:
- 20 years (61.5%): €8.86
- 19 years (52.5%): €7.56
- 18 years (45.5%): €6.55
